Background:

                    Ankh-Meres-Bast was a priestess of Bast, the Principle fueling the power of the dark-skinned Nerhib-Pehrt Shapeshifters of Bubastis. And it was believed she would soon join them in the Change. But destiny decided otherwise. One night, she was attracted in the desert by the powerful summon of a God. Set appeared to her. He appeared so powerful, so beautiful that she couldn't flee him once she had discovered his true nature. Set had seen, too, her true nature: She was a Godess, even if she didn't know it.

Set had plans for Egypt. He was dreaming of an unified Egypt where the concept of Justice would not be a vain world. But to unify Egypt, he would need the help of the Nerhib-Pehrt. After four nights of discussion, she said she couldn't swear for the allegiance of her people, but that she would follow him.

Set, charmed by this young woman, succumbed to his passion, and gave her the Rites of Godhood. When she came back, unalive, the following night, to Bubastis, her people immediately recognized the change. While not as fanatics as the Werewolves, the Bubastis didn't like the prospect of their future high-priestess become a Vampire. To defend herself, she answered the Bubastis could have done nothing should Osiris or Set decided to destroy them. She said she still followed the road of Bast, albeit she followed it by the darkness. She told them about the vision of Set and Osiris, of the Pact of Maat, but the Bubastis didn't want anything to do with the God of Deserts and Storms.

At least, they let her remain among them, and soon, she became Bastet, the female incarnation of Bast.

Centuries later, she was awakened by Bubastis blood's taste on her lips. Her people had awakened her because they felt the coming of Childer of Set. Nekhbet and Wadjet came to her, seeking allies against the Msoh-Sobek who were threatening the unity of Egypt.

Destiny

                    While Bastet will remain in Bubastis most of the time, she will create her Bloodline from promising priests and priestesses. She will work to create the alliance between the Childer of Set and the Bubastis.

Appearance:

                    Bastet appears as a teen girl with dark skin, long, finely braided black hair and large green eyes (sign of her kinship with the Bubastis shapeshifters: Simple kinfolk doesn't have the green eyes!).

She likes jewelery and fashion, and most of all, like the people of bubastis, she is a very sensual woman, meaning she will be at ease with the lastest dress with the most expensive jewelery, as well as simply nude. Despite the fact she is not a fully grown woman, she can be quite charming with her mischievelous looks.

Role Playing:

                    She always smiles, a smile that can trouble most men, as it seems she is hunting for them. The fact she is now a Godess only makes her more dangerous. She had acquired a taste for hunting that awe even her Bubastis companions!

But deep inside she admire the vision of Egypt shared by the Childer of Set, and will never hurt someone sharing the same vision.

                    She has a strong priesthood honoring her. Bubastis can be considered her city.
