THE CONAN SYNDROME
I would like to say a word to those who are reading this HTML sourcebook with that kind of idea in mind: What? Set a good Vampire? What's this crap about multi-bloodline Clan? And what's this Ouro-Sen ridiculous concept? And Horus is evil? the Children of Osiris allied with the Childer of Set? Etc. etc. etc..
In truth, there was so many reasons that they couldn't be written in this file because it wasn't interesting anymore. So to understand this Chronicle, you must forget anything told by biased sources (i.e.: The Bible, Conan's books, etc.). If I had the courage to remove all the crap WW (White Wolf Game Studio) creators wrote about Egypt (And I have great respect for WW creators, but they really failed when talking about the Setites), I would refuse it and create a chronicle based about Osiris and Set, two Antediluvians or Methuselah, and their respective Bloodline, etc..
But I can't: Because I want this Chronicle compatible with WW's sourcebooks, I have to find the imperfections in those sources, and uses them to make my point. And sometimes, I must even contradict those sources. This is very difficult, because I have to update my knowledge for every new bit of information WW uses.
Anyway, this is my vision of a great Land with enlightened people, with powerful magicks and full of mystery. In one word, Egypt. I am building this Chronicle, so these pages are bound to change a lot. The Synopsis will help me keep in the line, will remind me of the important moments of Ancient Egyptian's history.
Now, imagine: A large valley with blue waters, whose banks are filled with Papyrus. You're near Memphis, one of the greatest cities of the Two Lands. The city with one hundred white portals. The Balance of Egypt. Boats of Papyrus slowly advance with their precious cargo, as people slowly stop their work, as Ra, red as blood, starts again his voyage into the underworld, and as the Gods of Egypt, tended by their faithfull followers, slowly wake from their daily Torpor...
