INTRODUCTION
-3088BC, Egypt. The Two Lands once again united as the
South, land of Set, conquered the North, land of Osiris.
To keep the Balance between the two, a capital is chosen
in the middle of the "Two-Lands", called Memphis, "the
Balance".
Now is the time for peace. As Set sleeps in Torpor, and
as Horus still has to come back from the land of the dead,
Other supernatural creatures lurks around the boundaries
of this new country.
Oudimou, at the 29th year after his crowning, third
Pharao of the glorious Dynasty, is old and tired.
His wife, Neferou, died in childbirth, and his first
son, Horhem, is too impulsive to be given the power
over Egypt.
His daughter, Meryt-Neith, sickly and so pale she avoids
the sunlight, Ra, great god of the Two-Lands is destined
to marry her father, for the Pharao is male and female,
to be balance and so, follow Maat.
His last son, Ouadji, is but an innocent baby.
Unkown to all, dark forces stirred by Apep himself, work
to take the control of the land said to protect the ruins
of the Second City! But the Fayoum is revolting against
the forces of Pharao, and, lead by the great general
Mykerinos, succeed in keeping the forces of Sobek far
from Memphis. But Horhem dies in the battle against a
strange god hurling balls of green fire, and Mykerinos
is thought dead.
Pharao dies the night he learns the death of his son,
and as Meryt-Neith, "loved-by-Neith", give her last
hommage to her father, the magickal protection of the
tomb is triggered by an unkown force...
Learn about the destiny of Egypt, as
Mykerinos Ouserkaf ("Mykerynos whose Ka is powerful"), General of the South-Eastern Army, and a Silent Strider who is slowly discovering his secret heritage;
Chepen Desheret ("Gift of the Desert"), a priest of Anubis, whose destiny will lead to mummification, and who will lead the people of Egypt to their worship of the dead;
Akhchou ("Useful/Enlightening to Chou, [member of the first divine couple, and possible father of Ra]"), the old sorcerer, who's very near the discovery of the Ra-Hekaou, and so, will become one of the first true Mages of recorded history;
Hathor ("Temple of Horus,"), Architect, sculptress and paintress, the possible inspiration behind the huge monuments of Ancient Egypt;
Bast-Mosis (Loved-by-Bast), a Bubasti Kinfolk, dancer and priestess of the godess Bast, who should have married Horhem and become Queen of Egypt, and who stirred the interests of the Gangrel Basthemet;
Asher Hendut, the stealthy nubian, diplomatic councelor of the late Pharao, whose genius will attract the attention of Montou, the falcon-god (known in the future as Montano, Childe of Lasombra); Asher will become Amon, "The Hidden Principle", God of Thebes, and greatest god of Egypt in the New Empire Dynasties;
and Meryt-Neith ("Loved-by-Neith, Neith being the godess of war and the city of Sais"), believed to have been embraced in the very tomb of her father by Set himself She will be known as Sechat, the godess of the scriptures and rituals, who draws the maps of the temples and wife of Thot, but also also as Meryt-Set ("Loved-by-Seth"), Kindred Queen of Egypt when Set is Torporous, Hecate, the greek godess of dark magic, supposedly of Lasombra blood, member of the Tal'mahe'Ra and hunted because of her volontary infection to the Vicissitude disease, and finally Lady Laureen, supposedly of Clan Tremere, Lady of the Realm of Paris and Regent of the Chantry of Nonisis at Meudon.
They all will try to hold together a land where two
brothers fight for total control.
As Osiris died, Horus, his son, sweared the vengeance
against his Antediluvian uncle. A land where the
Werecreatures just learn about the mysterious Kindred, and
where the Wyrm itself will try to corrupt Set. Should it
succeed, Gaia would find herself with a most powerful
enemy, indeed!
Uræus is a chronicle starting in -3088BC in Memphis,
Egypt, and which will end 5000 years after in Paris,
France, starring the those who will become the gods of
Egypt, and in the same time some of the greatest powers
among the Kindred, and even all the other supernaturals!
But they will know of the greatest tragedy in the world:
The corruption of Set by the wyrm, even as he searched for
a state known as Maat, or Balance/Truth/Justice, known by
others as Golconda; and the creation of the Serpentis
Discipline and the corrupting Followers of Set.
