Background:
Meryt-Neith was daughter of Pharao whose wife Neferu died in the childbirth of her last son. Because of her dark red hair, she had been dedicated by her mother to Set. Her father choose to name her about the Androgyn warrior Godess Neith to balance the influence of Set. In the end, the court magician, Ptah-Hem, felt her magickal potential, and dedicated her to his own God, Thot.
Some believe that her physical weakness was the legacy of the weakness that had killed her own mother, while others believed her to be caught between the influence of three Gods who battled for her, thus explaining her weakness. Anyway, all believed she would not survive her 25th anniversary, if she didn't died before.
Udimu had to marry a woman to stay Pharao and follow the Heb-Sed that would rejuvenate his energies. He choose Meryt-Neith because she was his daughter and because he only trusted her. But his own personnal scribe, the second most important mortal in the Two-Lands decided it would be different. After killing Meryt-Neith's elder brother, Horhem, he poisonned the Pharao and tried to charm the mourning Meryt-Neith to marry him.
As she refused, he caused the magical defenses protecting the tomb of her father to close, with her (and his own accomplice) within it. Ptah-Hem died as the magical energies he summoned to open the doors destroyed. The Queen Meryt-Neith was dead. Thus, Hemaka, the ambitious scribe, took up the reign of power until the young Ouadji grew old enough to become Pharao (or until Hemaka killed him, too!).
But Meryt-Neith came back from the dead...

Meryt-Neith will become known as Sechat. She will became the architect and the administrator of the Childer of Set, controlling the administration as well designing magickal buildings that will enable the collect of Sekhem.
But, her most important accomplishement is the creation of the Hekau Thaumaturgy, thus giving Egypt a magickal edge unknown to other empires.
